Sharks' Test Kitchen Celebrates Local Food Vendors
The SAP Center in San Jose is hosting a Launch Test Kitchen event during the opening night of San Jose Sharks games. The event will provide attendees an opportunity to sample offerings from a range of local vendors who will be featured for the 2025-2026 season.
Local culinary partners include Gunthers Catering, offering German/Jewish Kielbasa and Lox from 1601 Meridian Ave., and Mr Shrimp SJ, serving shrimp and ceviche from 802 N. 13th St. Vietnamese banh-mi sandwiches will be available from TTDeli at 1520 The Alameda, and Sam and Curry Indian will offer chicken tikka from 1751 N. 1st Street #40.
Fans can also enjoy Cuban sandwiches from Habana Cuba Restaurant and fish and chips from Golden Catch Seafood at 387 S. 1st St. Suite 109. Stinky Noodle Fusion, operating from various locations in San José, will provide fusion noodle dishes, while Hobee’s Restaurant will serve brunch from 261 N 2nd St.
Additional vendors include Nirvana Soul Coffee, available at Section 210 at 315 S. 1st St. and 150 E. San Fernando St., Bun.Me.Up at Section 127 located at 23 N. Market St., and Mesquite and Oak SJ BBQ at Section 112 from 856 N. 13th St.
The event is part of the #shoplocalSJ initiative and aims to highlight local food vendors as part of the San Jose Sharks experience.

Meth trafficker sentenced to nearly 22 years in federal prison
Deann Tackman, 55, of Boise, was sentenced in federal court to 262 months in prison for distributing more than 60 pounds of methamphetamine in the Treasure Valley as the Idaho arm of a multi-state drug trafficking organization, with investigators locating 36 pounds in the gas tank of a vehicle delivered to her residence, and she will serve five years of supervised release.
