YMCA, Play It Again Sports Boost Youth Access
The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is partnering with Play It Again Sports for a Buy-Back Event running from December 1 to December 15. Participants can donate gently used recreation equipment to any Play It Again Sports location in Boise or Nampa and choose to donate part or all of their trade-in value to the YMCA Annual Campaign. The campaign supports local youth, providing financial assistance needed for participation in Y-Sports.
The donation drive is designed to make sports and recreation more accessible to children in the community. Contributions help supply essential gear such as socks, balls, and full-season tournament tickets, with specific donations listed as follows:
• $7 provides socks for young players.
• $20 supplies a ball for practice and teamwork.
• $50 supports a first sports experience in the Rookies league.
• $100 funds a full season of Y-Sports for one local player.
For those looking to donate, locations include:
• Boise: 8173 W Fairview Ave and 610 E Boise Ave.
• Nampa: 2303 Caldwell Blvd.
The event is part of the YMCA’s ongoing efforts to provide financial assistance to local youth, as one in five young people rely on this support to participate in organized sports. Donations made during the event will help children play, learn, and grow in a supportive community environment.
