Soloist Kilzer to Perform at BPYO Fall Concert
Miles Kilzer, a young soloist with the Boise Philharmonic Youth, will perform Alessandro Marcello's Oboe Concerto in D Minor. He began playing the oboe at the age of eight after receiving one for Christmas. His early musical journey was shaped by support from his teacher, Jessie Brown.
Along with his musical pursuits, Kilzer is active in other areas. He rides with a mountain biking team on numerous trails across Idaho. He also holds a third-degree black belt in taekwondo and teaches classes at Champions Martial Arts in Nampa. As a lifelong homeschooler, he spends his free time learning and sharing historical facts.
Kilzer is currently exploring his post–high school options through concurrent enrollment at the College of Western Idaho. The performance will take place at an upcoming BPYO Fall Concert at Borah High School.
