The Northwest Nazarene University Music Department is presenting Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man. The production begins with a pre-show performance for more than 1,000 elementary school students held today at the university in Nampa, Idaho.

Tickets for the shows are still available online at nnu.edu/musicman. Performances are scheduled as follows:

• March 14 at 7:30 P.M.

• March 15 at 7:30 P.M.

• March 16 at 3:00 P.M.

The production tells the story of traveling salesman Professor Harold Hill, who convinces the citizens of River City, Iowa, to form a boys’ band despite his lack of musical knowledge. The town’s librarian, Marian, is the only one who knows the truth about his abilities. The show is presented with archival materials provided by Music Theatre International.
