**Literature in the Garden: Interactive Learning for Kids at Nampa Public Library**
The University of Idaho Extension and Canyon County Jr. Master Gardener volunteers are presenting *Literature in the Garden*, a monthly program designed to engage children with garden and ecology-themed books while inspiring hands-on learning through creative activities and exploration.
The next session will take place on **Friday, March 14, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM**, in the MP Room at the Nampa Public Library. This month's featured book is *And the Good Brown Earth* by Kathy Henderson. Activities include learning about the composition and layers of soil, exploring what lives in soil, and creating an edible soil layer model. Participants will also assist in preparing the library's terrace garden boxes for planting in April.
The program is geared toward children ages 6 to 11, but children 5 and under are welcome to participate with adult supervision.
This initiative follows the Junior Master Gardener curriculum, providing educational opportunities for kids to connect with gardening and nature in fun and engaging ways.
For more information, you can contact the Nampa Public Library or visit their social media pages. Don't miss out on this enriching experience!
