**Nampa Public Library Hosts Living Voices Performance on Executive Order 9066**

On Monday, January 13, the Nampa Public Library in Nampa, Idaho, will host an educational theater performance by Living Voices. The event, scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., will explore the historical impact of Executive Order 9066, which resulted in the imprisonment of thousands of innocent Japanese Americans during World War II.

The performance will focus on the story of Emiko, an ordinary American teenager whose life is dramatically altered after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. As racism and xenophobia rise, Emiko and her family must navigate a world that views them as enemies, despite their American citizenship.

Living Voices, known for combining dynamic performances with archival footage, will use this multi-media approach to bring this historical experience to life. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation, allowing attendees to engage in further discussion. The event is open to individuals as young as 4th grade and up to adults.

This program is presented in collaboration with the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian American Experience. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of this critical chapter in American history.
